Vicepresidente / Vice-chairman
Ignacio Rodríguez Larrad is a postdoctoral researcher in the area of Wireless Communications Networking (WCN) that belongs to the Electronic Systems Deparment of Aalborg University. The WCN explores multiple aspects related to mobile communications, including new techniques of radio access, navigation and location, as well as security in networks. Ignacio has carried out researchs in the field of radio-propagation of centimetric and millimetric waves in urban enviornments with focus on future 5G systems, resulting in several models that have been implemented in communication standards (3GPP, ITU-R). Ignacio currently does research in collaboration with Nokia Bell Labs, technologies and applications related with the so-called Internet of Things (IoT). This research spans from the massive deployment of low power sensor (LPWAN) to untra-relialble communications of low latency (URLLC) applied to the concept of Industry 4.0.
Secretary and treasurer
José Antonio Cuesta Seijo is a scientist in the Carlsberg Research Laboratory – where the pH scale gave birth, by means of studying the plants’ biology and focusing on the systems involved in the synthesis and using of the barley starch.
Darío Vázquez-Albacete is the coordinator of the Center for Microbial Secondary Metabolites at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). Previously he carried out a postdoctoral stay at DTU in the field of immunology and completed a PhD at the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Biosustainability in the field of biotechnology, developing technologies to produce natural compounds in bacteria. Nowadays he is also communication delegate at the Society of Spanish researchers in Denmark after being chairman in the period 2014-2018. His aim is to give more visibility to researchers and convince the society that science can become the next economic engine.
Ana Longás is a communication professional who supports the CED-SFD communication team. Alongside her educational background in Advertising and PR (BA) and Corporate Corporate Communication (MA), she has more than 3 years of experience in working at marketing and corporate communication departments for different industries.
